Richland Two has updated its security procedures for sporting events after a fight broke out at a Spring Valley High School football game last week.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Richland Two has updated its security procedures for sporting events after a fight broke out at a Spring Valley High School football game last week.

In a Richland Two press release, officials said high school students who attend sports competitions without a parent or guardian present will be required to show their Richland Two student card before entering through a student door.

Students participating as part of the visiting team’s school will be required to present their school ID and have a ticket in order to attend the event without a parent or guardian.

The new rules will also prohibit spectators from standing or congregating near concession stands or in the lobby during the game. Dealerships will close at the end of the third quarter; the entrance gates will close at the end of half time and no one will be admitted to the game after this time.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. Face coverings that completely cover a person’s face are also not permitted.

Spectators will be required to remain in their seats for the duration of the match, except to go to the restrooms or concession stands.
