WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. (October 29, 2021) – MassBay Community College is pleased to launch the Center for Cybersecurity Education, which provides vital resources for high school and college students studying cybersecurity. MassBay created the Center to teach best practices and prepare students for today’s workforce needs in response to growing threats and risks to organizations’ information and data. Currently, the Center is operating virtually, but MassBay is planning an exclusive space on the Wellesley Hills campus in the near future. The launch of the Center coincides with nationally recognized Cyber ââSecurity Month.
“The Center for Cybersecurity Education is an innovation center allowing students to work on projects and engage more deeply in the field of cybersecurity,” said Shamsi Moussavi, professor of computer science and director of the Center for Cybersecurity Education in MassBay. âThis center gives students access to the latest technology and provides them with additional hands-on learning opportunities to prepare them for the skills they need for well-paying internships and jobs in the emerging high-tech sector.
