“The Center for Cybersecurity Education is an innovation center allowing students to work on projects and engage more deeply in the field of cybersecurity,” said Shamsi Moussavi, professor of computer science and director of the Center for Cybersecurity Education in MassBay. “This center gives students access to the latest technology and provides them with additional hands-on learning opportunities to prepare them for the skills they need for well-paying internships and jobs in the emerging high-tech sector. In addition, the center is a hub for collaborating and sharing best practices and curricula with community colleges and industry professionals, thus strengthening the field of cybersecurity, education pipeline at hand. -work and the regional economy. “

The Center works with other community colleges and four-year public and private universities on projects, while creating strong and sustainable pathways for associate graduates. In addition, MassBay aligns with regional industry partners, professional organizations, national and local information technology and cybersecurity departments, and other related groups to facilitate resources that help fill the IT gaps. cybersecurity workforce. The Center also organizes events, conferences, competitions and career panels for students focused on improving students’ cybersecurity knowledge.

MassBay is the only community college in Massachusetts to offer an associate degree in cybersecurity.
